Avoid Dania Furniture in Reno, Nevada. Seriously, Don't Shop There.

reno, nevada
Source: Wikipedia. GO DONATE MONEY TO THEM!

Dania Furniture has scourged the city of Reno, Nevada, with its presence of yet another faux high-end, disgraceful, furniture store.  Reno is a city mired in a rich history that played a crucial role in the Gold Rush (not just gold, but silver, as well), was an extension of the railroads that led travelers to the westward, and of course, gambling. It's a land defined by its polar opposites - dessert and wetlands cohabitating in the same man-made geography.  It's a terrific city that has to find ways to cope with a Dania in its jurisdiction.

People, we must band together and collectively refuse to shop there. How can we as a nation sleep at night when Dania has invaded a city that embodies the more peculiar, off-beat side of what it is to be an American?! We simply can't shop there, and let this ridiculousness continue.  Ever.

Okay, moving forward...you're likely to not even want to see the store itself, so in order to avoid it at all cost, below's the address.  After all, it's not an uncommon response for those to immediately vomit after seeing the Dania storefront.  Make sure you check out your alternatives to Dania, right underneath their terrible address!

  1. I wish I had read this before we made our purchase. Not only did the movers steal from our home but they don't have a drivers license, not bonded and Dania won't even talk to us about this problem.

They said to deal with the movers not with them. Legal won't let the store discuss the issue and they refuse to help.

When I asked about the bonding they only refereed to "you need to work it out with the movers"

I can't believe they would hire such scum bags, low life dirt bags, and the movers are worse. We will be taking them to small claims then look to get some publicity to make them look as bad as they are.

  2. Whoa, Vincent! What happened to you is insanely terrible, and we are super sorry that you have had such a horrific experience with Dania. It's quite clear that you are amongst what seems like the majority of consumers who shop at that unfortunate chain...a victim. =(

While we never experienced personal theft from our shopping experience, we did feel like we had parts of our soul stolen from us. Your experience there is a serious charge to make and we want you to know that we believe and support you. What's most jarring about this situation is that anyone who shops there is at risk of the worst consumer experience ever that's likely to scar them forever. You seem like a regular dude just trying to buy something (faux) nice for his home, and then - BOOM! screwed by Dania, a terrible company that is apparently in the business of making people feel bad. It's not fair, Vincent, and know that you have the support of the anti-Dania community behind you.

Please keep us updated with your proceedings and know that we will stand in solidarity behind you. Because if there's one thing we've taught Dania, it's that we can call them on their bullshit and let the world know that they cannot get away with it.

We are with you, Vincent. Godspeed.

  3. DSM,

Update to the theft from our home.
I tried to work with Dania to resolve this issue. The manager would pass me off to some meatball only to get some lame excuse. I was told to work out the problem with the delivery people. "They were the ones that caused the problem so work with them"

I insisted that I paid "DANIA" for the delivery and they hired this team of thieves to come to my home. Dania should be responsible for the people they hire, not me. We didn't hire them and why should we try to work this out when all I want to do is ring their neck.

Dania wouldn't do a thing, wouldn't offer a resolution of any kind. If anyone considers to shop at "Dania don't give a shit" then you are on your own. Don't expect anything other than to pay a lot of money for their commissions and pray you don't get ripped off.
